Why we're different
Innovative. Transformative. Practical.
From your Point of View

Maybe you've recently graduated from high school, taken a year off, or finished a short-term discipleship school. You're interested in ministry, but you're not sure what next steps to take. Going to seminary would take time, money, and readjustment.
A few questions you probably have are:
- How will I pay for all this?
- Do I want to spend the next 4-6 years off at college, away from family and friends?
- Will I be able to find a job after I graduate?
At THS. Academy, we’ve found a solution to your problems. Our virtual learning environment allows us to offer affordable tuition rates, so you don’t have to take out a loan.
You won’t have to move out of state, and instead, can receive training at the church you’re already part of.
Instead of sitting in a classroom all week, your apprenticeship will allow you to develop interpersonal social skills and see firsthand the reality of ministry life.
Something's Missing
The traditional educational model today looks like a lot of sitting, listening, reading, and writing. While growing in knowledge and academic skills is important, the realities of ministry, however, are different from the classroom.
A day in the life of pastors and ministry leaders is filled with personal interactions, planning meetings and counseling sessions, sermon prep, worship service oversight, and both written and spoken communication. Ministry life is dynamic, relational, and interactive.

Back to the Way Jesus Did It:
Jesus set a ministry model before us with his disciples. For three years, He and His disciples formed a tight-knit bond, traveling from region to region, teaching and ministering to both crowds and individuals. They were pulled in many directions, encountered serious setbacks and opposition, and faced fatigue. Through all this, the disciples continually looked to Jesus, who taught them how to find rest in the Father and rely on His provision.
