Admissions Requirements

Before applying, make sure you meet the basic requirements for the Bachelor of Theology in Pastoral Leadership.

  • 18 OR OLDER — Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
  • HIGH SCHOOL COMPLETION — A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • ENGLISH PROFICIENCY — You must be able to read, write, speak, and participate in live classes in English.
  • LOCAL CHURCH — You need a local church where you can complete your ministry practicum under an approved supervisor.
  • TECHNOLOGY — You need a computer, reliable internet connection, webcam, and microphone.
  • WEEKLY AVAILABILITY — You must be available for live classes Monday–Wednesday and commit at least 15 hours each week to ministry in your local church.

02 — APPLICATION REVIEW

Our admissions team will review your application and make sure you meet the program requirements. We’ll also consider whether THS is a good fit for your calling, goals, and current ministry context.

03 — ADMISSIONS INTERVIEW

If your application moves forward, you’ll be invited to a short interview to discuss your calling, get to know you, and answer your questions.

04 — ACCEPTANCE & ONBOARDING

After your interview, you’ll receive an admissions decision. Accepted students will receive next steps for enrollment, orientation, and preparing to begin classes.

$500 / MONTH

$18,000 TOTAL TUITION · 3 YEARS

Tuition covers the full three-year Bachelor of Theology in Pastoral Leadership, including academic courses and the ministry apprenticeship.

When do the classes start?

At THS we have a rolling enrolment for our training This means you can begin at the start of any new trimester. January, May, and September are the start of new trimesters. As soon as you are enrolled, your apprenticeship will begin at your Placement Church. We communicate with your Placement Church and facilitate their involvement.

Where do classes take place?

Classes take place through a live, virtual learning platform from Monday to Wednesday 8am-1pm (PST). Students must have access to a strong internet connection and a distraction-free environment in order to attend class.

How do I find a placement church?

Get in touch with us and we’ll help you locate a Placement Church.

What can I do after graduating?

As a graduate of THS. Academy, you will possess a Certified Bachelor of Theology in Pastoral Leadership (B.T.). Depending on the quality of your graduation thesis, you may qualify for attendance in post-graduate universities and programs.

Can I take individual courses?

Currently, we are in the process of developing self-paced options for a number of our courses, to provide more flexibility to students.

Is THS Academy accredited?

The Washington Student Achievement Council has determined that THS Academy for Pastoral Leadership qualifies for religious exempt status from the Degree Granting Institutions Act for the following program: Bachelor of Theology in Pastoral Leadership (B.T.). The Council makes no evaluation of the administration, faculty, business practices, financial condition or quality of the offerings by this institution. Any person desiring information about the requirements of the act or the applicability of those requirements to the institution may contact the Council at P.O. Who oversees my ministry apprenticeship?

Upon admission, each student secures a Supervisor from their Placement Church that supports them in their apprenticeship and performs evaluations on their progress. THS. Academy equips Supervisors with all the necessary information they need in order for their apprentice to be successful.

Does THS Academy offer ordination?

Ordination as a pastor or pastoral leader can only be administered by each students’ respective denomination. Refer to your Placement Church for this information.
