changing the World
with Jesus
THS Academy exists to equip men and women for effective pastoral leadership through deep theological study and practical ministry training — accessible anywhere in the world.
Our MIssion
Partner with churches to develop and implement effective leadership training to equip future pastoral leaders for work within the church, local community and abroad.
Our Vision
Equip a global network of pastoral leaders to multiply and sustain Christ's church throughout the world.
1993–2005: The Vision Begins
Tom and Inga Haase felt a clear call from God to plant churches and raise up pastors who could lead with conviction and faith. Guided by Marc Shaw in Frankfurt, they began training young leaders while planting 3 new churches over the next 12 years — laying the groundwork for what would become THS.
2006–2010: The Birth of THS
In 2008, Tom and Inga Haase launched TreibHaus Silber (THS) — meaning “Greenhouse Silver.” This new branch focused entirely on raising full-time pastors and church planters, marking the true birth of THS Academy’s pastoral leadership training.
2011–2015: Becoming a Recognized Academy
By 2011, THS evolved into a non-denominational theological academy, sending out its first graduates. In 2013, THS established its first campus in Bingen am Rhein, and by 2015, it received official recognition from the German government as an accredited college.
2016–2018: Expansion Across Nations
THS multiplied into new locations in Nuremberg and Berlin, and by 2017, launched internationally with new campuses in Kenya and the USA. In 2018, THS USA went fully online, pioneering affordable, global theological education through live Zoom classrooms.
2019–Present: A Global Online Movement
When COVID-19 struck, THS was already equipped to thrive online. Students from Africa, Europe, and the Americas now learn together in real time — forming a global community of pastors in training. From its base in Spokane, Washington, THS continues to seek, train, and send leaders who build the Church worldwide.
Director/Founder

When not preoccupied with saving the world, pastoring, or building villages, Tom makes sure to lead the team in the right direction. As the visionary for THS., he frequently comes up with more ideas than his team can keep up with (we love you Tom) but always ensures his staff feels taken care of. Tom enjoys good cheese, listening to audiobooks, and taking part in inspiring conversations.
Founder

Known among the students as “Mama Inga,” Inga brings a fierce spirit to the team, embodying Romans 12:11 “Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.” When not writing books or starting a new concept of homeschooling, she teaches courses at THS. and participates on the marketing team. Her daily life includes lots of coffee and winning people for Jesus.
Academic Dean

If the fruit snacks are missing in the office, nine times out of ten, Palmer is the culprit. Father of five children and serving in ministry 18 years in total - 8 of which have been as head pastor - Palmer is no newbie to the ministry life and all of its glories and hardships. Holding a Master's in Divinity, Palmer certifies that THS. is held to the highest academic standards and students have what they need to reach success.
Kenya Campus Leader

Father of two children, Augustine has been a pastor in Kenya for over 20 years with his church, so he has a heart to see pastors trained and properly equipped for the work of ministry. As an organizer and mobilizer, he easily connects with new people and is good at making friendships, making him a strong asset to the THS. global team. He loves traveling and eating tasty foods such as “nyama choma” (barbecued meat), a popular dish in East Africa.
Global Campus Leader

Growing up as a missionary kid in Asia, and living in Peru for a couple of years as an adult, gave Matt a heart to win the world for Jesus. He is the Campus leader at the USA campus as well as the Next Generations Director at his local church in Spokane, WA. In his free time, he enjoys taking photos, playing the guitar, and sitting next to a campfire.
Let’s talk about how THS can help you prepare for full-time ministry.
